Sometimes you just want to know where you stand. Maybe you doubt a few items. Maybe you don’t understand the figures. Maybe you think mistakes were made, but don’t want to end the relationship right away.
Then an objective second look can help.
What do we look at?
What exactly we review depends on your question and the bookkeeping available. We agree in advance what to look at. Think of reconciliations, notable balance sheet items, open items, VAT processing, the logic between the ledger and underlying documents, and points that clearly need further explanation.
We won’t dig through thousands of entries without a goal. We first agree what you want to know, and then check in a targeted way.
What do you get from us?
You get clear feedback on what we’ve seen. We distinguish between a different way of working, points that need explanation, and points that in our view deserve recovery or further investigation.
If information is missing, we say so too. We won’t invent conclusions to make the report more interesting.
What don’t you get?
This is not a statutory audit and not a legal judgement on liability, breach of contract, or damages.
If our findings give reason to, we can advise you to engage an independent specialist for legal or specialist tax questions.
Do I have to switch afterwards?
No.
Maybe the review confirms your bookkeeping is basically fine. Maybe you mostly get questions you can discuss with your current accountant. And maybe it turns out you’d rather work with someone else.
That decision is yours. We think you can make it better based on facts than on frustration alone.
And if you do want to switch?
Then we can take over the bookkeeping and guide the handover with your current accountant through our switching service.
That doesn’t have to be awkward or complicated. We keep it businesslike, tidy, and focused on a good handover.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a statutory audit?
No. It’s a targeted bookkeeping second opinion, not a statutory audit.
Do I need to hand over my entire bookkeeping?
Not always. We first discuss your question and determine what information is needed to look at it in a targeted way.
Do I get a report?
The form of the feedback is agreed in advance, based on the scope and purpose of the review.
Do I need to become a client for this?
No. A second opinion can also be discussed separately from switching.
